COMMUNITY MEDICAL OUTREACH

YAWE Foundation continues to strengthen and promote community partnerships through embracing extension of primary health care services to the people. Following a request by Rotary Clubs of Kabarole and Fort portal city for free medical services, during the Rotary Cancer Run Launch. The launch took place along Balya road, Bazaar ward, central division, Fort-portal City. The Chief Guest was Honorable Linda Irene Mugisa, the woman MP for Fort Portal City.

During the launch we provided a number of services to people free of charge among the services were: health education, medical consultation, Blood pressure monitoring, self-testing (ORAQUICK) kits distribution, family planning, HIV counselling and testing (HTS), nutritional assessment, condoms distribution, syphilis testing and blood donation. We worked with Fort Portal Regional Blood Bank and Rotary Club.
