KUGONZA MACKLINE

Kugonza Mackline is a 15-year-old girl who suffered a leg injury during birth. Her right leg was pulled badly, resulting in uneven growth. As a result, her right leg does not grow in length, and she walks with a limp.

When Mackline was seven months old, she was taken to Kilembe and treated with a plaster cast. Unfortunately, this intervention did not yield the desired results due to the delayed timing. When she was seven years old, she was brought to us and we decided to help her. We initiated a process to correct the unevenness in her leg, which involved creating customized support to match the height of her left leg. We continue to make new supports as Mackline grows to prevent her from limping.

In addition to helping her with her physical condition, we also sponsor Mackline’s education. She has been able to attend school since the primary level and is currently in senior two (High School). Furthermore, she has also benefited from our goats for life project, which helps families raise goats as a source of income and provides them with relief food.
