MUHUMUZA LATIF
Latif is an eight-year-old boy who was born with a congenital problem called a Colostomy, which is an opening in the large intestine that allows for drainage. This was caused by a blocked anus at birth, which required medical intervention. With the help from Yawe foundation, Latif was able to undergo an operation to correct the problem, allowing him to have normal bowel movements.
Latif comes from a single-parent household with two other siblings. Despite the challenges that come with his medical condition, he is a happy boy who is currently in primary one and attending school. We have been instrumental in providing financial and emotional support to ensure that Latif has access to quality education.
In addition to supporting his education, Latif has also benefited from our Goats for Life project and relief food. The project involves providing families with goats as a source of income, which helps improve their standard of living. The relief food helps ensure that families like Latif’s have access to basic nutrition, particularly during times of food scarcity.
Through our support, Latif has been able to overcome the challenges associated with his medical condition and thrive in school. His mother and siblings have also benefitted from our initiatives, improving their overall quality of life. Despite the difficulties they have faced, Latif and his family remain grateful for the support they have received.
