Raphael was born normally, at 2 months, and was taken to Kampala by her mother on returning him back at 7 months couldn’t sit or roll by like any other kid. Raphael’s father abandoned him at 3 months and his mother left when he was 9 months. At 10 months we enrolled Raphael and began working with him in areas of physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and others.

At 1 year and some months, Raphael began to sit independently.  Later at 2 years and some months he began to stand and walked on his toes until at 6 years when he fully walked on heels after an operation. Since then Raphael has been supported to start and stay in school from the nursery.

Besides school, Raphael has benefited from YAWE by getting a goat, relief food, scholastic material, and free medical treatment whenever sick.
