ORPHANS AND VULNERABLE CHILDREN

Food insecurity is one of the leading health and nutrition issues facing young positive adolescent mothers, children, and all other marginalized youth (disabled, PLHIV) among others in the community. This is maybe the crisis of Covid19, which continues to cause sustainable hardships for families and communities on a massive scale since the economy lowered in the past year because of Covid 19.

Besides economic hardship, this year we continued to support over 117 households in 6 core program areas (household income, health, food, education, psychosocial support, and child protection). By improving household income we have continued to follow the multiplier model of giving out goats to vulnerable households over 129 households by December 2022 have benefited from the goats for life project. The project has registered significant success in improving household social economic status.

We continued to support the OVC with Food relief packages during Christmas times, which included rice, posho, cooking oil, sugar, bar soap, and salt.
